As winter frost slowly melts into Spring, many people begin the arduous but necessary process of cleaning out the house. Here at Sterling, we're no different. Plant Manager, Dean Viehl, began a plant-wide cleanup. While most of the plan is to tidy up areas, one of the most major (at least visually) improvements is to the machines. The smallest machine, Ferrier 160, received a fresh coat of paint a few months ago. Now the newest machine, the 220, has also been crisened with a glossy new paint job. Dean plans to continue the paint work when machines are down for planned maintenance. By summer time, the two larger machines should also be completed (280 and 330). See below for some before and after pics. While the paint work is only cosmetic, it goes a long way towards increasing employee morale and customer impressions. Other improvements to the facility include new carpeting in the offices, some new computers, and other equipment to keep Sterling looking sharp and working efficiently.
